Yachtmaster Fast-Track (UK)
GYT's Yachtmaster Fast-Track course is designed to get you up and running in the yachting industry in as short a time as possible.
The comprehensive training programme designed by industry experts and RYA Trainers has all the elements required if you are looking for a career as a Yacht Skipper or Superyacht Crew

Yachtmaster Fast-Track Course Programme
The GYT Yachtmaster Fast-Track course is all UK based and run from our training base here in Cowes. The Solent is an ideal training ground with strong tides, busy shipping and may local ports to visit.
During the programme you can expect to spend around 50 days on the water honing your skills on yachts and small craft, gaining experience in close quarters boat handling as well as gaining miles and skippering experience on the two mile-builders. During the mile-builders you will visit ports in France, the South Coast of England, the Channel islands and Scilly isles.
STCW 95 Basic safety Training is included as part of the GYT Yachtmaster Fast-Track course and is, alongside the MCA Yachtmaster Certificate of Competance the entry level requirement for work in the marine industry, especially for Superyacht Crew.
You will also add Powerboat Level 2 (can be commercially endorsed) as well as PWC (personal water craft/jet ski's) qualifications to your C.V
The RYA/MCA Yachtmaster Offshore Certificate allows the holder to skipper a yacht up to 24m in length and up to 150 miles from a safe haven. If you add STCW Basic Safety Training, then the certificate is valid on yachts over 24m and up to 200 gross tonnes.
You could find work as a flotilla skipper, delivery skipper, or with the addition of an RYA instructors ticket become a sailing instructor working around the world. Superyachts is another avenue and a fast growing sector in the marine industry or maybe a job on a race yacht taking part in regattas around the world.
In addition, the GYT Fast-Track course also offers you our unique signature products of yacht racing and the opportunity to work with Charter guest’s whist on your course.
