YM OCEAN QUALIFYING PASSAGES

YM OCEAN QUALIFYING PASSAGES

Global Yacht Training, part of Global Yacht Racing, offers you the chance to obtain your Yachtmaster Ocean qualifying passages. We offer not only the opportunity to gain the required sea time but also the chance to take a full part in the planning and preparation of the passage as well as importantly allowing our clients to act as a watch leader; all of which are a prerequisite for the RYA Yachtmaster Ocean exam.

Our ocean passages cover a distance of 600 nautical miles (nm) with our yacht having been at sea continuously for a period of at least 96 hours and having been over 50nm from land, continuously for a period of at least 48 hours or for a distance sailed of 200nm.
